Trolling is a fishing method where the player sets up up to 5 rods with lures attached, then drawn through the water on a set route with the Cruiser. Prior unlocking the Cruiser, the player can choose to go on a Trolling Tour in either Teman Paradise Beach or Pacar Beach, but the player is limited to 3 rods and fixed to a single route. Fishes caught by trolling are all L-XL sized and most yield higher Points than fish caught with usual ways. Unlike normal fishing though, trolling is quite time-consuming and only few fish can be caught in one session.

Mechanics[]

Trolling

Trolling with 3 rods

When the player start a trolling session (either by interacting with the chair on the Cruiser or taking a Trolling Tour), they are prompted to select a lure that will be attached to a trolling tackle. Depend of how many tackle the player has, the order the placement is middle, middle left, middle right, far left, and far right. When the last tackle is set up, the Cruiser will automatically starts and running along a predetermined route. What route the Cruiser takes is the closest one when the session starts.

When a rod suddenly bends, point the Wiimote to the rod, then press the "A" button to engage the fish in a fight. Unlike normal fishing, fight in trolling has three phases that repeats in same order. First one, the player must shake the Wiimote up and down quickly. After that, the player must turn the Wiimote to the direction shown in the screen. Finally, the player reels in with the Nunchuk. If the line length have reached 0, the player must tap "A" repeatedly until the fish leaps from water.

The trolling tackle has a maximum line length of 332 ft. However, more powerful fish can run all the line out, which will instantly breaks the line. So it's important to do the first and second fight phases quick so the player can reel in faster.

Routes[]

The game features many routes where the Cruiser will automatically enter as the player initiate trolling. The routes sometimes get very close to each other, but they never overlap. The direction where the Cruiser faces on when starts trolling is important to avoid entering into the wrong route.
